The 2013 Greatest Awards Show in Diabetes |in-award

The Greatest Awards Show in Diabetes presented by Insulindependence and Tandem Diabetes Care, was hosted at the House of Blues in San Diego, as the red carpet highlight of Insulindependence’s 2013 conference. This event brought together some of the biggest names in diabetes to recognize the year’s most notable achievements in diabetes and sport.

Masters of Ceremonies were diabetes patient blogger Kerri Morrone Sparling, representing Animas®, and Mt. Everest Climber and Ironman Triathlete Sebastien Sasseville.

The event included other awards previously distributed by the Diabetes Exercise and Sports Association (DESA) and Insulindependence. View a complete list of the awards.

The community voted on the finalists and we announced the winners at the Greatest Awards Show in Diabetes, at the House of Blues. 2013 Athletic Achievement Award Winner Scott Johnson will receive a $5000 package of support for his future athletic endeavors.

If you are attending the North American Conference on Diabetes and Exercise consider walking from the host hotel so that you don’t have to worry about safe transportation after the event. Walk from the Marriott Marquis and Marina, 0.9 miles
