GUSTAVUS TRIATHLON

Event held at Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN. All proceeds go to IronKiDz in association with the Triabetes project. Sprint triathlon format: 500 yard swim, 12.5 mile bike, 3.3 mile run.

            9:00 AM Check in and body marking

            9:45 AM Mandatory pre-race meeting

            10:00 AM Race start

After last finisher: Awards ceremony. Awards given to the top three men and
women as well as the top two relay teams.

Swim: 500 yard swim will take place in the in the beautiful 10-lane, 25 yard, Lund Natatorium pool on campus. Please provide your own lap counter if possible.

Bike: 12.5 mile bike will tour lovely St. Peter and the surrounding country side. Bike will begin an end on campus. All cyclists must observe MN traffic laws. Certified hard-shelled bike helmets are required. Drafting is prohibited.

Run: 3.3 mile run will tour the Gustavus campus and residential area of the St. Peter community.

Cost/Deadline (ALL proceeds go to IronKiDz in association with Triabetes)

Gustavus Student: individual - $10, relay - $21     
Non-student fees: individual - $20, relay - $42

Gustavus Adolphus College is located 60 miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Drive times vary depending on traffic levels, but with good traffic conditions, it will take about one hour to drive to Gustavus from the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport, about 75 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, MN, and about 90 minutes from downtown St. Paul, MN.

• From north, continue on 169 (Minnesota Avenue) southbound through St. Peter, turn right onto College Avenue, and go up the hill into campus. Take a right on Campus Drive and park in one of the large parking lots at the top of the hill.
• From east, come into St. Peter on westbound Hwy 99, and at the intersection of Broadway and Minnesota Avenue, turn left. Continue on Minnesota Ave. until you reach College Avenue, turn right, go up the hill into campus. Take a right on Campus Drive and park in one of the large parking lots at the top of the hill.
• From south, continue on 169 (Minnesota Avenue) northbound through St. Peter, turn left onto College Avenue, and go up the hill into campus. Take a right on Campus Drive and park in one of the large parking lots at the top of the hill.
• From west, come into St. Peter on eastbound Hwy 99, and turn left onto Minnesota Avenue. Continue north to College Avenue, turn left, and go up the hill into campus. Take a right on Campus Drive and park in one of the large parking lots at the top of the hill.
