The path to a cure for diabetes is a winding road, and a big part of the challenge is understanding the dynamics of blood glucose during exercise – as if that's a surprise to you, the athlete with diabetes. But it is a real problem. Much of diabetes research is conducted on stationary subjects, which is an important part of the big picture of diabetes, but not the whole story.

Through our recreation programs, online network at Phrendo, and partnerships with leading technology firms, Insulindependence strives to advance the science of diabetes by working with the active diabetes community to create new quantitative tools for diabetes management, and to offer a new resource to biomedical researchers in their tireless struggle to solve diabetes.
