Yes!! Through the advice and expertise of Dr. Corcoran and his staff, everyone will leave with a stronger understanding of the techniques and know-how needed to optimize their body’s potential during physical activity. You have the opportunity to learn how to better manage diabetes and take full advantage of the rewards of a physically active lifestyle. Dr. Corcoran and his staff are an invaluable resource. Why in the world is a fraternity putting this on?
The Epsilon Pi Alpha fraternity (The “Eppies”) has worked with Insulindependence for three years now. They have raised thousands of dollars and sponsored numerous campus and community events with an emphasis on diabetes awareness and advocacy. This year, the Eppies want to take this focused service project one step further.

This particular camp event is being run as an offshoot of the Insulindependence project known as Triabtetes, a noble quest of twelve type-1 diabetic triathletes in training for the 2008 Ironman Wisconsin.  Dr. Corcoran is the lead physician behind this monumental endeavor, and the Diabetes Training Camp is working closely with the athletes as they prepare for the true test of endurance they face. In conjunction with their fundraising efforts and the numerous other activities centering on the mission of Triabetes, the Eppies hoped to facilitate a workshop experience that will truly benefit diabetic youth and their families, so that they too can reach for new heights.
